It is one of the most popular desserts in Austria and is often served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Although apfelstrudel is a traditional German dessert made with thinly sliced apples, a cube of sugar and cinnamon filling, and a flaky pastry crust. That’s why this easy recipe can be made at home with just a few simple ingredients.

When measuring flour, be precise. If you use too much, the dough will be dry and difficult to work with.

Apples should be sliced thinly and evenly. This prevents them from baking unevenly and tearing the dough as the strudel is rolled up.

¼ part of a cup of flour

1/3 portion of teaspoon salt

1/5 cup lukewarm water

1 tablespoon cooking oil

1/1 teaspoon lemon juice


Melt 4 cups of butter

2/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

Finely chop 2 kg of apples

2/2 cup serving golden raisins

1/3 cup sugar

1/1 teaspoon serving of cinnamon


  1. So first of all, put flour and salt in a mixer and mix it with water, coconut oil, and vinegar until the dough becomes soft. Now change the dough to the hook paddle attachment and knead well.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth. Now add it to light oil to thicken the gluten in it.
  3. Then keep the dough in a dry place and cut it with a pizza cutter. Now keep a portion of the dough aside. However, roll the other part of the dough. However, mix all the ingredients well in the flour.
  4. Now prepare the strudel by kneading the dough and rolling it. So cook the strudels evenly. Now melt the butter and brush it on the strudel until the batter turns golden brown. When cooked, cut into pieces and serve.
